Ford Ranger PX1, PX2, and PX3 should not be treated as one control-arm application. A usable quotation identifies the build phase, production date, drivetrain, ride height, steering and suspension configuration, left/right side, and exact assembly supplied.
Define the first RFQ branch
Gerui’s initial lower-control-arm enquiry prioritizes an Australian RHD PX3 standard-replacement pair. Current OE candidates are JB3Z3079C for the left side and JB3Z3078C for the right side. Ford engineering and service-number suffixes, production-date coverage, and current replacements still require supplier confirmation.

- VIN last eight characters or chassis detail

- Standard-height or modified suspension

Define the pair BOM
The quotation should show one left and one right front lower control arm, installed bushes and ball joints where applicable, and every included or excluded fastener. Side-specific sensor or bracket features should appear in labelled photos and the drawing.
Check geometry and critical dimensions
Ask for mounting-centre dimensions, ball-pin taper and diameters, bush dimensions, arm thickness, bracket position, and any side-specific feature. A modified lift or caster-corrected arm must be separated from the OE-style standard-replacement product.
Review manufacturing evidence
For a complete assembly, request steel grade and thickness, forming process, welding method, weld inspection, coating process, ball-pin material and heat treatment, pull-out or torque test, bush specification and hardness tolerance, critical-dimension inspection, batch code, and current production photos.
Make quotations comparable
Compare only the same OE/application branch, left/right BOM, bush and ball-joint configuration, packaging, quantity, currency, and trade term. Record sample price, pair price at 20/50/100 sets, MOQ by part number, mixed-SKU terms, lead time, pair weight, carton dimensions, private-label cost, warranty, and claim handling.
Common rejection signals
- The supplier combines PX1, PX2, and PX3 without an application split.
- The listing shows a lift or adjustable arm but the quote calls it standard replacement.
- Left/right photos or references are missing.
- Only generic certificates are supplied.
- No critical dimensions, traceability, or wrong-fitment process is available.
