A supplier may describe a tie rod kit as fitting Toyota Hilux 2015 onward, but that statement does not define the steering rack, chassis, production date, inner and outer threads, left/right structure, or the parts included in the box. An import quotation should resolve those details before price comparison.
Start with a defined kit BOM
For the current Gerui validation program, a proposed full front steering service kit may contain:
- Two outer tie rod ends
- Two inner tie rods or rack ends
- Two steering rack boots
- Applicable clamps and lock nuts
A supplier must state every included component and quantity. A price for one rack end is not comparable with a complete axle kit.
Record the vehicle branch
Provide the destination market, RHD or LHD, build year and month, chassis, drivetrain, suspension configuration, and steering-rack information where known. GUN126R 4WD is the current priority branch, while GGN125R, GUN125R, and GUN136R should be quoted separately until their relationships are documented.
Use OE numbers as references, not proof
Current research candidates include outer references 45046-09800, 45046-09780, and 45046-09820, plus inner references 45503-0K130 and 45503-0K070. These numbers help start the supplier enquiry. They should not be treated as interchangeable without an application table, supersession evidence, dimensions, and vehicle data.
Dimensions the supplier should return
- Inner and outer thread sizes and thread direction
- Stud taper and relevant diameters
- Overall outer-end length
- Rack-end overall and working length
- Rack-boot end diameters and length
- Left/right same or different
Request a dated drawing or controlled dimension report rather than dimensions copied into an email without a product reference.
Ask for current product evidence
The response should include labelled photos of every kit component, product markings, packaging and carton labels, current inspection records, sample and batch traceability, net and gross weights, carton size, units per carton, and the written wrong-fitment process.
Compare commercial terms on the same scope
Request sample price and 20, 50, and 100-kit prices under the same trade term. Record mixed-SKU MOQ, minimum quantity per part number, neutral packaging, private-label MOQ and cost, lead time, quotation validity, and warranty terms.
Reject broad answers
Do not approve a response that groups every OE number and chassis under one price without explaining the application split. Do not accept a catalogue screenshot as a substitute for BOM, dimensions, and product-specific evidence.
RFQ data to send Gerui
Send the vehicle build date, chassis, RHD/LHD, drivetrain, OE or current supplier references, required kit contents, quantity, packaging, destination, and trade term through the Gerui RFQ form. The Hilux N80 program page shows the current validation boundary.
